Most difficult shot, before you focus bee moves out of frame!

Photography Tip: High shutter speed, continuous shot and continuous focus are the key. May not be possible with mobile cameras.

  1. Amazing shots ! And you are right, this kind of shot is not possible with mobile. To capture any flying creature is challenging.

Thanks Pooja for your comments… πŸ™‚ One needs higher shutter speeds and a fast focus mechanism.

Yes.. patience is key.. and I remember taking so many mosquito bites trying to take these bug shots.. because a photographer should not make a sudden move.. that will make the bug run away… πŸ˜€

Nice photos and good tips about how to take them. I can now see a reason to get a real camera instead of just my Samsung phone.

True….but then interest has to be there.. lot of my friends invested heavily on DSRLs but then rarely take them out.. they use mobile camera for everything..so I think interest is the key.. πŸ™‚ Thank you for stopping by..

  17. I noticed the great capture of the wing movement right away. After reading the comments, I see it’s the shutter speed. Great tip! Some day, I’ll get me a nice camera. I just don’t like how bulky they are 😦 I can see it would be worth it sometimes though!

    1. Raj says:

Thank you for being here.. Yes for such shots you need the high shutter speeds and somewhat zoomable camera. Although you see the bugs in close distance, but camera has to be further away. Yes size is the biggest issue. But there are lot of so called “Mirror less camera” available somewhat compact in size. Go for something compact which will fit in your vanity bag.. πŸ™‚
